Quito is enjoying a renaissance to rival any city in the world. Its historical heart is the largest, least-altered and best-restored in the Americas. The city has invested $200 million over the last seven years in its cultural heritage. This is more than any other Latin American city. In 2008, in time for Travel Mart Latin America, it celebrates 30 years as the first city to be nominated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
We have put together some great tour packages which focus on the new attractions and activities we have been developing over the last years. We are sure you and your clients will enjoy them. We have included tours to the north of the capital, which include visits to rose farm plantations; to the northwest taking in ecotourism, community tourism and archaeological routes; as well as ‘altitude wellness’ tours to the east. We also encourage you to take the day tour to Lloa and the Pichincha Volcano with stunning views of the city, and, of course, to take part in the free historic centre city tour on the 10th September. |
